I am trying design an embedded Ultra low power LAN to Wifi Linux router and I need to control the WiSOC based on the detection of network activity on the LAN side. The device connecting to the router cannot send magic packets so Wake on LAN is out of the picture.
The reason I want to control the WiSOC is that most of the openwrt supported chipset (ar933x, ralink,.. do not have sleep modes and the WiSOC consumes anywhere from 80-120mA@5V. My target consumption in "detection/sleep" mode...
