What are the specifications a newbie should look for while buying a FPGA board?

I want to buy an FPGA board for my solar MPPT project. Generally, a bunch of features is given on the manufacturer's website under the specification.
What are the useful features I should look into for my project. Will it be good to go for a board with onboard ADC? Please suggest me some FPGA boards.
