I am doing some programming for the MSP432 and a camera module released specifically for Arduino but compatible with any microcontroller with I2C and SPI.
After reading through the application notes for the camera module, it appears that registers are set up on an "Arduchip" which takes care of the lengthy and tedious configuration of FIFO and sensors in the OV2640 camera module.
