Hello,

I'm using MSP430F5131 and trying to program it by IAR Embedded Workbench while using the MSP-FET debugger.

A short background of the PCB:

After i compiled the code in IAR with not errors found , i connected the MSP-FET to the MSP430 in a Spi-Bi-Wire connection according to the datasheet.

The MSP430 is placed in a PCB which includes 12V input voltage and 2 regulators of 5V and 3.3V . The MSP430 I/O's are connected according to the datasheet (including...

PICkit3--PIC16F690 and SPI data transmittion

Hi everyone,

I have the PICDEM Lab development kit of Microchip tools and I would like to control a peripheral (at first another MCU PIC16F88) through the SPI port of the PIC16F690.
I see that there aren't any functions at either xc8 or Hitech compiler to support the SPI module for this microcontroller but I found some people who have worked around building their own protocols that I want to try to adapt to my system.
As I am just starting with programming a MCU I have two basic questions:...

SD Card and PIC18LF26k22

Thank you all for reading my post.
I am working with a PIC18LF26K22 (3.3v), and implementing a sd card through the MSSP (using SPI). I will only be writing data TO the sd card and NOT reading from it. I have a few questions to ask since it is the first time I have worked w/ an sd card (microsd hc 4gb). I am programming this in assembly. SD card is formatted to FAT32.

1) Since I am only wanting to send data to the sd card do I need to still have the "DI" line connected or do I need...

LCD Data Pins on SAM3U

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to assign the 8 data pins (D0-D7) of an LCD display EA DIPS082 to PortB of the SAME3U. What is confusing me, and I'm sure it's trivial, is how to group the data pins so I can write to them at once. Can I setup a pin array to assign each of these data pins and then write my data to the pin array? Thanks for any help.

PIC code to work with a bootloader

I want to write some code to be loaded into a PIC16F1459 using Matt Sarnoff's USB-based bootloader, which you can read about here:
https://github.com/74hc595/PIC16F1-USB-Bootloader

I use the Mikroelectronica compiler, but it seems to me that MikroC doesn't give the user the flexibility to do this. What the bootloader requires is:
- User's code must start execution from address 0x200 (but has to be a jump).
- There must be a single word at address 0x202, containing a RETLW...

New to microcontrollers, looking for advice.

Hello everybody, my name is Mike. I'll be taking a course at college in the near future, involving programming of micro controllers using CodeWarrior.
I am a total newb, and have no experience with this, so I need to get a head start before classes begin. I've been looking for some hardware to order, but am overwhelmed with all the different options; and am not sure if all are compatible with my needs. I'd appreciate any help I could get from the fine people of this forum.

Hi,
I have a project, and now a have a little question.
I want to make a "bar" on each digit , depending on data in microchip.
"Underscore" is simpel to make "_"

but the next 5 "bar" is difficult.

the full bar 7 is also pretty simpel to make.

like the attached file.

How can this be done ?

Hi!!
So far I am able to connect android client with nodemcu wifi-server on my home wifi network. And, display the entire result on browser providing the ip address and port of my esp8266(nodemcu) wifi- server as a web page.
However, now i am making my own android app. Here i am able to make a client-server connection. But, I am willing to grab the sensors value resulted (the variable used i.e "t" for temperature as in image below) and displayed on my nodemcu IDE(Esplorer). And, use that...

Sinking 12V through a Reed switch into a discrete input module (NI 9425)

We have successfully had a system fielded for about a year now, and one of its several functions is to measure product flow through its channels. Given the application, chemical compatibility, cost, size and overall flexibility, I chose a Reed switch actuated flow meter and am sinking it into a National Instruments 9425 discrete input module, which is basically an I/O module for a PAC system called a cRIO 9068. I am using period-based calculations on the FPGA to derive a tick count and go...

Hi.
Is it possible to make a InCurcuit programming with pcikit2 on this MCU ?

I need a MCU with at least 30 I/O and 28 kb space at least.
Any suggestions on another MCU that can be programed with PicKit2 ?

Permanent LED connected to 13th output in Arduino

Hi all,
Some version of Arduino, lets say UNO has a LED series with 1k resistor in-built SMD LED for its 13th output pin. The 'Blink' sample program of Arduino IDE uses the 13th pin to blink its built-in LED as default.

Question is: The 13th pin of the UNO is not completely dedicated to the LED. So we use the 13th pin in many purpose. But as I said the 13th pin has built-in LED connected permanently. Won't it affect to another signal when we use the 13th pin for different signal output?...

Hi all . I am working capacitive touch using pic18 series micro controller. Touch working fine with external dc source but when I am connecting to the mains Ac voltage(230 VAC 50 Hz) sensitivity of the touch board changing.
1) Touch board and micro controller boards are in same pcb but power section and smps are in another pcb.
2) For touch sensing I am using MIcrochip CVD methode .

hey there
i want to add 32kb sram to my ds5000fp wich have already 32kb sram connected to it
so i have two ds5000 pcb and i want to solder the sram of one chip to the other one because i don't want to desolder the sram ,because my test is temporary
so i soldered 1st chip sram pins to 2nd chip sram pins then connected 1st sram CS pin to CE2 pin on 2nd chip then
i connected 1st chip (ds5000) vcc and vcco to gnd ( to disable it ??)
now the problem is i cant read any sram because dumps are...

Blue Tooth LE interface with Android phone

I am developing a circuit that communicates through I2C to some products and relays this data to a display screen on an Android phone. To demonstrate this I will be using 32F469IDISCOVERY from STMicroelectronics with a STM32F401shield that interfaces with the Arduino connector on the master PCB. I will be porting the code from a X-NUCLEO-IDB05A1to meet this end. If I can't find the source code to do it. The only question that I am pondering is what do I need to program an Android phone...
